LLAQTAVILLE
2027, 30 minutes
In the Quechua cosmovision, places are beings. Mountains watch, rivers listen, cities are alive. Cusco (where the artist is originary from) taught Laleshka this before she knew what it was — like learning to recognize a voice. Brussels (artist’s current home) taught it back to her later, more slowly, in a quieter voice.
For her first solo show, the boundary between the mystical and the surreal becomes almost invisible. On stage, Laleshka inhabits the aerial rope — no longer an apparatus, but a place. A narrow, vertical living space. Climbing as a way of inhabiting. Climbing as a way of crossing. Climbing as a way of disappearing and reappearing higher up.
Premiering in summer 2027.
